Leadbelly, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and the Allman Brothers.

Reggae is awesome, I reccomend Israel Vibration, Bob marley, or Ziggy marley. Or anyone, they all sound the same.

For Punk, I recommend Rise Against, Black Flag, Anti Flag, Propagahndi, The Clash, Sex Pistols, Ramones,Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, The Pogues, and Billy Talent.

Then there is a hip-hop/punk band I recommend called Whole Wheat Bread

For Classic Rock, try Jethro Tull, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Cream, Eric Clapton, Rolling Stones, The Who, Jimmi hendrix, Fleetwood Mac,The Cult,Kansas etc.

Free Music can be had from Pirate Bay :)

And for metal, I recommend 70's and 80's stuff, like Megadeth, Metallica(Before Black), Iron Maiden, Pantera, Anthrax, Slayer, Venom, Black Sabbath, Black Label Society, Motley Crue, and Van Halen

I also suggest you try out Industrial music like Nine Inch Nails, Julien K, and Orgy

I also used to download from torrent sites, but now I don't use them at all. Instead I download music right here at Blogspot, actually it has loads of music blogs with albums in rar/zip archives hosted on rapidshare and similar sites, and I think it's much more convenient and safe than downloading torrents :)
